Featured Work
Pomona Pictures chose us to produce their Promoting Pioneers series for Wellcome Trust UK. The short online documentary was filmed on location in Johannesburg, South Africa, and involved speaking to the hard working nurses and doctors, involved with the pilot project to improve antimicrobial research. This initiative was started in the emergency wards of a single private hospital in Johannesburg, run by healthcare provider Netcare. Their work, which has already lowered antimicrobial resistance rates, has now been expanded across 47 hospitals in the Netcare group; and will soon be extended into South Africa’s public hospitals.
BCA was tasked with producing, directing and filming with the final footage edited by Pomona Pictures. The content was released on the Wellcome Trust Youtube channel as part of the Promoting Pioneers series 2018.
